Page o' People

I guess my first question is what ya'll think of it. At times I'm okay with it and I want to do it, but then I have moments where I feel it's kinda lame.

Second question is that Mrs. Campbell had an idea about leaving a few un-inked, kinda like showing the work before the inking (example would be the dude with the axe). Just wanted to know what y'all thought.
/Edit/
Madison reminded me about the coloring. I am going to color them via colored pencil. I'm supposed to color bits of the people (just clothes on one, just hair on other ect.) as I go, but I'm putting it off until I feel comfortable enough using colored pencils.

  1. I LOVE THE UNINKED IDEA!!! It sounds awesome. I do think, however, that it may need some color? Maybe a progression from bottom to top of fully done to partially-done and undone at the topish?

  3. i think they look awsome black and white i think you should go ahead and ink the axe dude cuz i really wanna see him lol but what if as you went further write they became less and less finished like maybe one still has a gesture head until in the upper right corner you jsut have gestures??

  4. Okay, first off I want to say I love it and have decided you need to go into animation because it is sooo your calling. However, I have to disagree with everyone, I really want to see it finished and entirely inked. However, I do agree with everyone on the fact that the unfinished characters themselves are very strong and show your hardwork and detail. What about this idea, you could do another piece that is entirely of the gesture drawings and sketchs and then mat it next to the other finished piece, on one board so it then becomes sort of a two part piece, the before and after! That's just an idea though, and I hope it helps!
