  1. Converse fairy, or something to that effect. The whole thing will be computer colored when I'm done, but do to time an my poor hand, I need to know what style I'll be using before I move ahead. This has already taken me 6 hours of work with a mouse!

  2. Cartoony blue shirt.

That... took you six hours. Couldn't you have just traced it with a marquee or use pen tool?

  3. I like the washy style better, and I feel like it will be stronger. I feel like the cartoony style looses all that detail you put into it! I think all the shading in the washy style really polishes your hard work, and makes it look like animation you'd see in a movie! :)

  5. So you're computer coloring this thing without knowing the basics of Photoshop? That's really dangerous.

Maruqee tool let's you work on the image only within the selected parts of the image. So you can use Polygonal Lasso Tool (Row 2, column 1, right-click and select) to retrace the image and use paint bucket to fill in the entire area.

Pen tool (Row 9, column 1, right click for more stuff) is a tracing tool, handy for getting the lines smooth and curvy to perfection.

Google it up. It's got some nice articles on Photoshop tricks and shortcuts that will make life easier.

  6. and if you aren't already... work with layers. don't do all this without the magic of deleting an object (layer) and moving on to avoid the freakout of undo.
