this is my reference for this painting im going to do of a cut avocado. i tried to keep the composition in a diagonal moving your eye from bottom left to upper right.
im not sure yet if i want to go a little looser/mor interperative with the rendering yet, this is just a wash and little pencil sketch so far. i need to work on it heh.
I would personally enjoy seeing this in your textural-based style; not sure if Momma would agree, though. :o

ReplyDeleteI agree with Kellisy, you can add some texture. Maybe keep it more minimal than your latest "disease" piece. I don't think you want the texture to take away from anything. Seems the composition is going to be the strongest part of the piece. You have some great subtleties in the shadows... make sure to get those!
