so far...

My original idea for this piece was to have a pair of eyes peering out from inside of the canvas, but after I set that idea up, it didn't have nearly as much depth as I wanted. So, the new gist of this piece is to have something bursting out of the canvas (so I can use it as an actual 3D piece, not just relief). HOWEVER... I at a loss for ideas on what I actually want coming out of the canvas. So, feedback and ideas are greatly appreciated!

  1. ooh! that looks so friggin cool! i'm doing something similar to that with hands and arms coming out but, they are coming from different parts of the canvas. It might be cool to have a person coming out of there. Maybe he could look like he was searching for something?

  2. Maybe something spiraling in very bold or primary colors? It's a very interesting piece.

  3. i was thinking about the birth of venus and greek and roman mythology story about it, because 'coming out' looks same as 'giving a birth' to it.

  4. SO COOL. Huh. I'm not sure what exactly should be coming out of the piece...but I almost like it just with the hole! Like, it would be cool if it looked like you just punched through it or something.

...Or not. Feel free to ignore me. XD

  5. Nice start, maybe add more 3-d points around. Or frame it like the canvas is coming out of one of those egg things. Like one inside of the other..
